I forgot how to control both armies?

Hi all, back playing again after a hiatus and I can't remember the setting to let me control two armies. The scenario is I am in a castle, and I have cavalry waiting outside to harrass the besieging armies but when I try to click on the button to let me control the outside armies nothing happens. The only option I have is to click AI controls, but I can determine whether they use aggressive or defensive. Help?

That's it. Your control over reinforcements is limited to aggressive, defensive and shootout stances. You can move the entire army around, too, but you can't control individual units within that army. If you have enough free space in your main army then you should probably set the reinforcements to be player controlled.
