Can we get a NON 1.5 Patch DLV P L E A S E !!!???

Sorry about the (I'm begging you for attention) title but this is something which is making me crazy...

I've downloaded and started playing DLV after failing to install the 1.5 patch, there were errors for the four campaigns but in the options menu, it showed version 1.5 and there were stone forts, campaign shadows and apparently everything was ok... appart from CTD every 8 turns +-...

And here is the most stupid mistake... I decided to delete and unistall everything and start all over again, well, this time the 1.5 patch gives me the errors but at the end non upgrade is done and the game continues to be in version 1.4... (which gave me CTD every 2 turns...)

For what I have read, there are lots of problems with the patches... if any of you have gone through this and solved, please tell me how, if not then could we make a 1.4 DLV please?

I've just read how some people having problems with the 1.5 patch are playing DLV 5.0.....
I've installed 5.0 and it seems ok (first turn though )...

Am I missing VERY IMPORTANT bug fixes which would normally come with 5.6 or is it ok to continue playing 5.0?

And now once again I have read that version 5.5 doesn't use the 1.5 patch... is this correct?

You must use DLV 5.0 as base, then install the highest version on top. For example 5.0 + 5.6 or 5.0 +5.7 latest beta, but not every single 5.something on top of each other.

Now the problem is that version 5.5 or older have been deleted from filefront...

I have DLV 5.0 with patch 5.4 still saved on my computer. I still feel that to be the best DLV version. It does not require the 1.5 patch, the weird cavalry thing, or the ugly Byzantines. If you'd like, I can host it on filefront (if there is no objection from the DLV team, of course)

I bet your problem is you didn't delete your DLV.ext folders before you reinstalled the game. You must to that or it won't work properly. Hope that helps

and the problem is not with the mod itself, it's with the patch...

I'm one of the people who has problems installing the patch, and everything is confusion, no one has a final answer...
you are the lucky ones...

I don't know if you remember with RTW, the famous problem with the 1.2 patch... apparently it's the same case now

Thanks, I'm looking for a kind soul who could still have 5.5, 5.4 or even older version so I can play... it's easy now with filefront we can upload anything we want.

Problem solved, I have downloaded a new patch and it worked correctly.

Women are just mad at computers cuz you ain't playing with them for hours. Friend of mine solved that by setting up a home network and making his girlfriend wow addict. Now they both look like couch potatoes though, ah well...
