    Default Limiting guilds

i was wondering if there is a way to limit the number of each type of guilds you can have.

eg. I allow spy's to ONLY be recruited if you have a thieves guild. i would like to be able to create only say 2 thieves guilds, 1 assisins guild, 3 theolegians, 3 order and 3 merchants

    any way to do this?????

That should not be a problem, but I am not a script guy, so details have to come from someone else.

I have seen conditions in triggers before that counted how many buildings of a particular type a faction has. They use the following:

    NumBuildingsCompletedFaction

I'm not sure if it can be used in the guilds text file or not. But if it works, you can create a trigger that gives lots of negative points for all settlements for that particular guild. Do note that it will be hard to get a thieves guild to pop up if you can't train without that guild.

i just hate how the ai spams thieves and EVERY city they got has a thieves guild. Once i figure out how to limit the guilds to a certain number, i would create triggers to make the thieves guild pop up. such as points for building taverns and such, plus allow factions to start with 1, so if they spy and succeed, they get more points. i want to do this for all guilds thou, not just the thieves guild. I think i found a way to limit the guilds to 1, maby an easy way is to clone the guild and name it like thieves guild2, that way they could have 2 thieves guild with the limiting factor on the edb that would only allow for 1 building type..
