    Default All those Legions!

I'm playing as the Sertoriani, and I am wondering where I can recruit all the different legions. (Syrian, Evocata, Asia Cohors) All I can get right now are the regular Cohors Legionarius. Is there some guide or FAQ somewhere that can tell me what's up?

I think Sertoriani can only recruit the regular cohorts and the hispanic legionaires. The Evocata cohorts appear randomly at 5% chance every turn when you have a have happy (green) city. Something like that.

I noticed that, I randomly got an Evocata.

Okay, how about the Senate? Do they get the other legions for recruitment, or just from scripted missions?

The Senate...well...everytime you take one of their provinces they build a legion to take it back until it's taken back. If it's destroyed they send another one. If you take one of their important provinces a message will come saying (town) is Roman & that the senate has sent forces to take it back. Those are for sure scripted.

For example, taking Tarraco gives you that message. Taking an overseas territory spawns the message plus an army in the area.

For regular recruitment I'm pretty sure the senate manually recruits its legions because I've come accross legions consisting solely of 1st cohorts. Those were nuts, wouldn't give up or break.

Lol. That is majorly annoying! I have noticed that. I have defeated 4 scripted legions already, after sailing good old Quintus Sertorius to the Gates of Rome itself.

But, what I meant was can the Senate recruit legions besides the regular ones? Like, Fimbrians, Asia Cohors, etc?

Yeah they can recruit the other legions. The Fimbrian ones...it's rare to find more than 2 of them at any one time. The Asia Cohors are more common, but you'll only find them in asia minor and probably greece and..well..asia lol.

If you are fighting Asia cohors in Spain you know you're kicking the senate's butt. Also when you're fighting more and more greek spearmen and illyrian troops, they don't have too many forces in your way.
