well am playing a sicily in grand campaign with darthmod,ive had a 5000 expenditure on courrpoption and other for a long time, ive learnd to deal with it. but out of no where it skyrocketd and now am paying 11000 in expenditure for corruption and other.i have no idea what the deal is, i looked at most of my cities and there was very little corruption. there is a general at allmost every city. someone wanna help me out?

mmmmmmmm.....is it possible ur a vassal to anyone.That will drain ur income quick. but other than that, i dont know what the problem is.

there is no way i could be a vassal to anyone,so i guess thats out of the question.hope someone else can help me.

generals loyalty comes in effect with the corruption, simply raise some loyalty and the corruption goes down

Also your kings authority comes into play as well, raise it if it's low

Make sure to have the HIGHEST Civic building, being Townhall and such.

Have high Loyalty Generals, Sometimes its better to not have a Governor at all, move a general out of the city with low loyalty, the income of the city may go down, but it next turn you may see a 500-700 difference in the corruption, use common sense and use trial and error to fix this situation.

It helps if your Capital is as central as possible. Increased distance = increased corruption.

Also look out for your generals traits and ancillaries - there are some that can seriously increase corruption in the city that the respective general is governing.
