    Answering a question that hasn't been answered yet:

    I'll just say how the faction list differs from vanilla. Britannia and Numidia is out, and the Romans are now conflated to one main faction and a "Roman rebels" faction. The Dacians are gone, and the Thracians are now barbarians. There's Saba in Arabia, Bactria in the Far East, and a collection of independent territories under "Eastern Kingdoms" (I think so that they put up more of a fight than plain rebels). The Greeks and Gauls also get their rebel factions, called Independent Greek City States and Independent Gauls respectively.

    XGM also has a number of provincial campaigns if you want to play as Massalia, Syracuse, Bosphoran kingdom and Cyrenaica. (Not sure if there's more, it's all I remember.)

    Anyway, to iterate the answers.

    1.are there city hoplites in XGM like athenian hoplite,thesalian hoplite...
    Certain cities do get specific hoplites, Sparta, Athens, and Massalia each have one, and there are also Bactrian hoplites for Bactria.

    2.does XGM have a 85% like new roster or is it just a vanilla clone?
    There are certainly many new units for XGM, certain factions' units are mostly just redesigned vanilla units, the Romans mainly, but other factions have nearly completely new rosters, the Ptolomies for example.

    3.does XGM have any sort of AOR?
    XGM has a very extensive AoR system with nearly every province having one and most AoR have three units to recruit.

    4.what factions does XGM have?
    XGM has 16 playable factions and four non-playable (five if you count the slaves)

    The factions are:
    Roman
    * Roman Republic/Empire
    * Roman Rebels (Non-Playable)
    Greek
    * Greek Cities
    * Macedon
    * The Seleucid Empire
    * The Ptolemaic Empire
    * Bactria
    * Independent Greek Cities (Non-Playable)
    Eastern
    * Carthage
    * Pontus
    * Armenia
    * Parthia
    * Saba
    * Eastern Kingdoms (Non-Playable)
    Barbarian
    * Thrace
    * Gauls
    * Germans
    * Iberians
    * Scythia
    * Independent Gauls (Non-Playable)

    There are also five released provincial campaigns, Bosporus, Cyrenaica, Epirus, Massalia, and Syracuse. These all replace the Greek Cities faction with another Greek faction. Two more are soon to be released, a Gallic Galatian campaign, and another Greek, Pergamum campaign.
    5.(less important)is Xgm a very stable mod?
    It is one of the most stable mods available (most versions at least, don't play 5.6 )

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    Version 5.6 still gives me nightmares, but I think the last iteration - 5.6.11 - is actually solid.
