Extermination of own cities
As the title says i want to know if you exterminate own recaptured (former hold by enemies or rebels) cities to increase public happiness?
This is a very effective way to play, but - i would guess - not very historic.
It is a bit strange to liberate a city from the enemy and kill most of the inhabitants.

Re: Extermination of own cities
Well, if you want to teach a future lesson than you can, on the rare occasion, execute many of a newly captured city.

Re: Extermination of own cities
The last thing as a game modifier is to want people exterminating cities for they are growing to quickly and are thus rebellious. This was a serious issue with the orig bi game. With the last two patches cities pop growths have been dramatically reduced but what the player will come across in the Beyond Roman glory are rebellious peoples for they see the reoccupation or the invasion of their long held lands as hostile. Rome or more correctly, the Empire will need to subdue the population with the reestablishment of Roman government, Forts, better economy etc...but the Emperor will be face with the option of exterminating cities - much more likely the more rebellious former barbarian capital. The rebellions should be more to do with the reoccupation and not the cities growth. Its something as the player you will have to try and figure out how you want to be as an Emperor as you accomplish Beyond Roman Glory.
