Default My video settings won't stay.

I recently got a new monitor and thus changed the resolution to 1920 x 1200, however, I recieved a glitch where my visible mouse cursor was a few inches left to where the actual one was (I had to click to the left to reach something). Thus, I exited the game and went back in, but I found my resolution settings changed back to 1024x768. Any way you can help?

    Try this:

    1. Navigate to: C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War
    2. Open medieval2.preference with Notepad or Wordpad
    3. Scroll down to where you see [video]
    4. Find: battle_resolution = 1024 768
    5. Change it to: battle_resolution = 1920 1200
    6. Find: campaign_resolution = 1024 768
    7. Change it to: campaign_resolution = 1920 1200
    8. Save the file
    On a side note...I hate you...1920 1200. Nice setup!

Haha! I have the same problem I got a new widescreen monitor of 1440 x 900, and it never saves the settings. I have to change everything everytime I start the game. Hopefuly this works. Thanks! :hmmm:

Well that didnt work for me. Upon going and opening up the prferences notepad, it turns out the correct resolutions of 1440 x 900 were there...and the game still starts up with defalut settings....

    :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm: :hmmm:

ahhhhh shoot! I guess I will just have to continue manually changing it everytime I start the game. Thanks anyways

After you set your preferences and saved them, right click the file, click preferences, click read-only, save.
