Coding? That's new, so you know almost every single file in the RTw directory and the way it's connected to each other?

I don't know if you were just magically able to mod without learning anything, but if you were, may I enlighten you that coding is something you really "learn". How else do you think people are able to do it. I sure didn't know anything about modding until I read tutorials, did them, and learned from them.

My suggestion: civil war 68-69 a.D. (year of the 4 emperors)

Or: civil war 193-197 a.D. (year of the 5 emperors)

The first one should be great!!

My advice would be to spend not too much time researching - most people will want to see some visible screenies and stuff. if possible try and make a star on coding and find someone else to do your reserch - it's generally not too hard to find someone if you advertise right.

Oh, and AP, quit the sarcasm. When i started modding I hadn't the hell how to do ANY modding of ANY files, and I'm a perfectly respectable mod leader with a released mod to my name now - if you persevere, a mod like this will hold no obstacles for you Marvin.

So have you decided on a time-frame yet? Because then I can help you research, and start on some units.

yes i have 300bc to 1 bc so that will be 452 ab urbe condita to 752 ab urbe condita also i will be putting a 4tpy script in. if you think it's too long or short please tell me and i will change it it's 1196 turns all together

Hmm, I like the time frame, but maybe too many turns? Maybe shorten it to 2 turns per year?

One more thing, which is the map area you want to cover? It's got to be Italy obviously, but is it going to be like the vanilla map? :hmmm:

    It should be 2TPY.
Too many turns. And can we say Ab Urbe Condita? I thought it was RS's thing.

yeah i thought it was a bit long. i need to decide if i should shorten the the time span or have two years per turn. but i personally like the 4tpy. about the map it will be like vanilla's but i might expand a bit more east. i plan to have lot's a detail in the map.

no we can say ab urbe condita because it is what the romans used. so it don't belong to RS
