Not for eating, or God forbid, having sexual intercourse with.
Just a pet. It can evolve if you wanted it to, but obviously, it can't go back.
For simplicity's sake since there's no way I know all the Pokemon, let's keep it to the original 151.

Yeah, it kind of got fuzzy in my head after the first 151. Those names make no sense. If it was out of ANY pokemon, I'd like the one that changes the weather, just for fun.
I would choose Gyarados, as a pet.

Dratini! I would definetly let it evolve into Dragonair. Maybe even Dragonite... they are pretty awesome too. I love all three really.
This is a pretty lame thread... but I don't care. Pokemon games were, and really still are, awesome games.

I would want something to fly on, that would be sweet.
Cubone/Marowak always was my favorite, but I don't see any flying there... Mew could do anything, so that would be cool. Ghastly would be interesting.

Overall, probably Marowak. But also, it's a game...
Now, excuse me while I spend the next 24 hours on my D&D character. 4.0 doesn't just play itself!

I have no real choice here, it has to be Pikachu.
My daughter has been a Pikachu nut for several years now, she carries Pika around with her and has Pika "mind" the TV when she goes off fridge-raiding.
In addition to her main Pika, there is a veritable posse of Pika backup for emergency situations.
