Welcome to the M2 Democracy game. I am Caesar226 the founder of the new version. The Democracy Game is a game of Politics, War, Roleplaying, Backstabbing and Deceit.
In this new installment I have decided a role playing element be made. There will be houses for political backstabbing to go on, there will be a Government house for things related to State and Governing our lands. The mod we will use is Stainless Steel 4.1. We may one day change this for version 6.1 but the problem is some people don't have Kingdoms.
Upon Registration you will put two things
1. Your Faction Name, EXP: Name: Jefforey de Bordeau
2. If you have it your X-Fire name
I strongley incourage X-fire because it provides a good way to pass the save and to talk Politics or just chat with your fellow members.
I will not lie to you as this game goes on you will begin to develop Political Rivalries. Remember THIS IS NOT PERSONAL it is a game. If you are stabbed in the back don't write a spaz letter to the guy saying various swear words.
The main point of the Game is to:
A) Become the most powerful or the most respected (if you are a patriot)
B) Gain the most honours.
C) Have fun! We are all here to stab one another in the back and kill some mongols.
War. War. War. It is key. War makes the people love you and if the people love you you have the power to overthrow the Government and establishe yourself as Leader. The save shall be passed as regular as humanley possible and anyone who hogs the save may be banned.
When you are making your character, you will have several Classes to select from. Choose wisely; some will limit your powers and the offices you are eligible for. Everybody starts out as a freedman, but you have two choices after that:
When making your Role Playing Character there is a system called the Feudal system you HAVE to follow. When you first join you class is Freedman. If you show you are a good an active player you will have the choice to be either a knight or a Clergyman.
Clergy: Judges, lawmakers, advisor to the King, Papal representitive, religious leaders; can be elected to Pope, cannot lead armies, can speak in the house of nobles and commons.
Ranks [from highest to lowest, with how many there can be beside it] (appointed by election):
Pope: 1
Cardinal: 1
Archbishop: 2
Bishop: 2
Priest: Unlimited
Deacon: Unlimited
Description: The Clergy have the power of the Church on their side. While they cannot gain power through war or conquest, they can become Pope and command all other nations throughout Christendom. A Priest who believes that a member is being un-godly can prosecute him for heresy. If convicted of heresy, you character WILL be executed.
Knight: To manage fiefs (govern groups of cities or castles); to recruit men for the King's army; to lead their self-made armies if the King so decrees it; to speak in House of Commons.
Ranks (appointed by King or Lord):
Duke
Count
Earl
Lord
Baron
Description: The Knight is the Governer/General. Knights is appointed by the King and given a Fief. In his Fief, the Knight is in charge of building things and recruiting men that the King can call upon in times of war. Each Knight is responsible for his fief; if he badly governs his fief, the Knight may be recalled and stripped of his land. A Knight may also return to London and speak in the House of Commons.
There are two more classes - Nobility and Royalty. Nobility is the class of a man whom is worthy of Royalty. There will only be two nobles at the beginning, KnightOfSicily and King Paul IV. These men MUST have at least two sisters in their family, because the only way a Knight may ever become a Noble is to marry into the family of an existing Noble. Except for clergy members holding the rank of Bishop or above, the Nobles are the only class who may speak in the House of Lords. If a Knight distinguishes himself in the eyes of the King or another Noble, then he may grant the Knight the status of Noble.
The House of Commons is the place where things such a reports from Knights and Clergy members are held. A Knight MUST report his progress in his fief or he will be recalled and stripped of said fief. An Archbishop MUST report on ALL activities of all Priests (consisting of every member of the clergy). In the House of Commons, the common people are discussed, minor laws are proposed by clergy members, and freedmen are assigned jobs.
The House of Lords is something entirely different. Whereas the House of Commons is where anyone can speak their opinion equally on lesser things such as minor laws, the House of Lords is where the more important things are decided. In the House of Lords, the reports of the King (grand report on the campaign), the Nobles, (nobles give reports on all fiefs), Papal laws and opinions, larger laws, matters concerning warfare and important diplomacy things are all heard. Additionally, the House of Lords is where fiefs are created and distributed.
The final and uppermost class is that of Royalty. There is only one member of the Royalty - the King himself. As Royalty, you are the supreme leader of the nation until death. As leader, you can do pretty much whatever you want to... within reason, of course. You cannot murder someone without reason. You cannot pass any law you wish without the consent of Parliament. Finally, you cannot force the Clergy to do things against the will of the Papacy. Besides this, the King can do whatever he wants to, whenever he wants to. He can lead any army; he can speak in any house; he is above criticism; he cannot be prosecuted; and he is unusurpable. However, as king, there is one HUGE downside: being King is the most dangerous job there is. Your Nobles can declare war against you; the Papcy can declare war against you; the Nobles can try to usurp you; even a lone Governor can try to usurp you. Any man who has control over an army can try to take the throne (if you desire to do this, you have to get the permission of one of the mods).
All members will start out as Freedmen, except KnightOfSicily and King Paul IV. Don't worry; you will advance quickly, but you must make clear your intention to go either the way of the Knight or the Clergyman. So where you put class, put your rank as Freedman, except for my co-founders.
Rules:
1. No spamming.
2. If you are talking Out Of Character simply put your post as: OOC: So on So on. (remember and I can't stress this enough THIS IS A ROLEPLAYING GAME. When speaking in the main Government area or indeed anywhere that is not specified as a ooc thread speak In Character)
3. Be polite. We are all here to have fun not to get all angry about a game.
4.Respect your superiors(MODS) Me and Knight of Sicily are the two leaders, though officially IM the leader and founder of Version 2, I value his opinion greatly and should I ever leave for any reason he is in charge of keepin the forum under control.
5. Thats it HAVE FUN!!![]()
