Gold Edition not working?

Now I bought the gold edition in order to get acces to BI, now I removed the original Rome: total War from my com, and when I try to install BI I get a message saying A Earlier version of Rome: Total War was found and that I need to delete that first?? I have Vista by the way, and I blame that.

Does anyone know how to deal with this?

Do you have administrative rights to it or turn off the UAC? If you do did you inhide everything? If you did unhide everything did you do a search of your harddrive? Did you clean your registry?

The problem is with the installing, after I clicked install, of either of the 2 games then that error pops up.

About the UAC, its still on I belief. It asked permission to me to install the game and I pressed yes. And I did a search, but somehow there are also things there that can't be found anymore :hmmm:. It says it isn't there anymore but I can't remove it.

And about the registry, how do you mean that?:hmmm:

There is a seach function built into the title bar at the top you can use to search for "Vista", "admistrative rights", registry cleaner", and host of your other issues that have been answered many times.
