I don't care for the ad urbe condita ancient dating system. I guess it's from the founding or Rome? Anyways how do I set the date back to the normal modern calculation? (BC and AD)
You don't, the date change was done to avoid a nasty CTD involving the date.

The translation is approximately "From the founding of the city", the Romans used it to refer to the founding of Rome. They actually used this dating convention well into what is know known as AD or CE depending on how you keep track.
