I've just recently upgraded to new comp with the following specs:
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @2.4 Ghz (Actually overclocked to 3.2 Ghz)
4.00 GB of RAM
NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GT
Windows Vista 64-bit
I installed Medieval II and Kingdoms. I am able to play the game to some degree, however, it will often times freeze up and then the screen will go to black. After a few seconds the game will reappear on the screen and I can go on playing. After I log out of the game Vista sends me this error message:
At first I thought it might be a Vista incompatibilty issue with the game but now I think it is more of a hardware/driver issue. My video drivers are up to date for my graphics card.nvlddmkm display driver stopped responding and has recovered
I did a search on the error message on google and it appears that many people have had the same problem in the past. However, most forum topics I found on the issue on tech websites and the NVIDIA forum are over a year old and the advice given only applies to older cards and drivers.
Has anyone had this issue in the past? If so, what did you do to fix it?
