Yes, then came Poltava.

Cool...But I like the Swedish uniforms better.
Phorz: Nice images.
"They were defeated at Klissow 1702 by charles XII's Caroleans."
in this battle was 200 hussars, and this 200 hussars defeted swedish cavalry in this battle, infantry was topped them !!! Look on Battle of Kircholm:
Sweden:
8,500 infantry, 2,500 cavalry
Poland:
1040 infantry, 2400 cavalry
Sweden was lost 8000 SOLDIERS!!!! POLAND 100-200!!!!! and ONLY 7 HUSSARS!
What you will say now?
Under Trzciana 1629 we also defeated Sweden (and also under Kircholm, Oliwa-similar victories):
Polish commander:
hetman wielki koronny Stanisław Koniecpolski
Swedish commander:
król Szwecji Gustaw II Adolf Waza
Polish forces:
1300 Polish Wingded Hussars
1200 light cavalry
2000 Reiter
Swedish forces:
4000 cavalry
5000 infantry
LOSTS:
POLAND
300
SWEDEN
1200-killed
over 500 POW
And how about the battles of Wallhof, Mewe, Gurzno, Dirschau, Zarnow, Wojnicz, Warsaw etc etc?
This thread isnt the right place for nationalistic rabble, and what Kirkholm got to do with Klizow is beyond me.
Start a new thread or use the existing faction threads if you want to debate about Polish-Swedish battles.
- Gentlemen, we just seized an airfield.
- That was pretty ninja....
Battle of Konitz, 1656
Sweden:
950 men cavalry led by Rutger von Ascheberg
Poland:
10,000 men cavalry led by Stefan Czarniecki
Swedish losses:
Very low, certainly below 100
Polish losses:
3,500 men dead and over 36 banners taken
what do YOU say now?
May also add that Sweden lost 5,000 men, not 8,000 men, this was confirmed when the army had reorganized again.
Well, I for one do like the British Life Guards' outfit during the Napoleonic Wars:

No to the pretenders of the British Throne! Jacobite Till I Die
I've always been a fan of the shako, (the style at least, the hat pictured is actually a mirliton) and the skull and crossbones on black uniform look is pure badass esp. combined with the esprit d'corps associated with 18th century Hussars. Stolen from wikipedia, the above is a drawing of a Hussar from the Husaren-Regiment Nr. 5 commanded by Colonel von Reusch for Frederick the Great.
Involved in both the War of Austrian Succession and the Seven Years War. They're even being released as a special unit for E:TW![]()

That's a great picture man.
This is the 15th Light Dragoons. Later known as the 15th Kings Hussars. They were the first ever regiment of light horse that the British raised, and when the game finally comes out and I write an AAR I'm going to write one in the first person perspective of a cavalry man in the 15th, aka Elliots Light Horse.
That's the 15th charging and breaking the French infantry Emsdorf in 1760 when they were under Prince Ferdinand's command. This was the first action the regiment saw after being raised and fought well, gaining the nickname of the "Fighting Fifteenth". They were also ordered to wear the name Emsdorf on their dragoon helmets and were the first British unit awarded a battle honor and it was the beginning of the current system.
At Kircholm it was mostly merceneries and yes...you pwned us there
