Default - Pirate Priests and Pious Merchants

    - We all know that priests are a bit evil, but are they pirates? No.

How come all my priests are "Famous Pirate" or "Poor Navigator" ?

A Pirate Captain of some infamy, all attributed to grizzly deeds at sea.
-2 Loyalty, +2 Command at sea

(Let me remind you of the 8th commandment: Thou Shall not Steal.)
So If my cardinal becomes a pope, damn better watch out, or he will rob your ass!

    - When my priest go pirate, somebody got to step in and be pious. My Merchant has now traits that give him pity.

Keep up the good work Kong, we are unworthy to critize you, but I had to mention this // King Crab

(My Diplomats get bonus attributes from my merchant-hq, but that is not so strange maybe.)

My best guess is that an error accord when you installed one or more sub mods that effect traits and ancillaries, like BGRIII.

I did remove BGR3, but if I remove it, the traits no longer exist, atleast they should not lead anyway, it would be a dead end, Right?

They weren't like this when I played with BGR3, how can traits from bgr then come back and have an effect, I reinstalled whole SS map and then loaded an old campaign file. Since it did not get corrupt, and there is nothing else strange with it, I thought it was ok.

Well, it's a bit strange, if you ask me But i belive to have seen this phenomen before, probobly playing BGR, so I guess I should send the bug-report to bygg instead.

Did you start a new campaign after removing BGR III? You have to start a new campaign for the changes to take effect. If problem persists in a new campaign, best solution I can recommend is reinstall the 6.1 patch from scratch.

I did not start a new campaign, I see that now. I thought since it did not get corrupt it was "ok". But seems like I was wrong ^^

    thanks for tips

When you save a game it saves the trait/ancillary ids, not the names. Hence if you edit the files (add a mod) it will create new ids and all your characters will get wierd results. Start a new campaign and all should be well.

As to the second, you best bet is to install 6.1 again and make sure no sub mods are checked.
I qouted this from barsers link, good info and good laughs
