Very nice.
A little recommedation, in your era there were no one-piece helmets, spangenhelmet and ridgehelmet designs were the most used construction methods.

"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."
Pliny the Elder, Naturalis Historia, 7, 112
I know at least the following pictoral example of 6th-7th century ridgehelmets:
The "Moses before Pharaoh" illustration from the Syriac bible ms.syr.341 fol. 8 recto: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sy...orePharaoh.jpg
Look at the soldier`s head right behind "Pharaoh".
So I think it is reasonable to assume that this design was still in use.

Difficult to see and say that it's a ridghelmet or not...
Anyway, i consulted from books as well, like Ian Heath, George Kardaras, Pantelis Karekas, Richard Bodley Scott, photos from google, etc... It's sure that they were using the type of helmet which i posted above. I did good research on this. Be sure that couldn't be more Historical..
