Need some help

Hey guys!
I started playing SS 6.1 with a bunch of other mini mods and the game is perfect so far, but I need a 2 term per year mod. Since I don't like the once I've seen so far I wan't to edit some text myself...the problem is I don't know where to start, I changed it to 2 turns per year but now I have way to much population going on, also I wan't to change the building time a little bit. Where should I start? Thx for help

well, to change the construction time, go into the export_descr_building file. At the end of each building entry, you'll see "construction #" - change it to whateveryou want.

As for the pop problem, there is a file that handles the population increases caused by farms, but off the top of my head I can't remember which one it is. Pretty sure it's .xml file though.

what do I need to edit exacly in the settlement_mechanics.xml? Thanks for your help by the way (sorry for bad english since I'm german), I wan't to reduce the population growth by half, because I don't want high end units too fast and I wan't to enjoy the game because I'm a slow player.

There are 3 sets of parameters there.

SPF = settlement population factor
SIF = settlement income factor
SOF = settlement order factor

Play with the numbers until you get what you want.
