    Default crash

    just bought the game today and installed it all ok untill i enter game goes through the videos then its goes 2 a black screen n every now n then would flash to the menu but stay black it doesnt go back to desktop and i can still minimize game.

    my specs r

    windows vista
    2 gb ram
    processor: Intel(r) core(tm)2 duo 2,4ghz
    32 bit operating system

    my graphics card is ATI mobility radeon HD 2400 XT with latest drivers

    any1 help?

    Onboard graphics chip? If so , turn off shadows, grass, etc., and everything else to low and see if that works.

    Laptop with integrated graphics? Make sure you turn down all graphics-options to low or off.
    I do wish people wouldn't buy laptops and expect them to pack as much power as desktops.

    how do i turn that down without getting into game?
    and i didnt buy it i was given it by my uni to help with my design course

    Whenyou start the game there is an options button towards the bottom of the list. In it you can turn evetyrhing down or off.
    Universities don't know anything about 3d games and care less. Laptops are only good for class notes and homework.

    i cnt do that as when i go into it i dnt c the menu screen so i cnt click on anything

    In the Medieval II Total War folder is the medieval2.preferences.cfg. In it under [video] are all your settings. Might be your laptop is just a p o s.
