If you've been to NK (no I haven't either), they have "Off-limits military zones" everywhere. It's not like she strolled onto a missile silo...killing her was totally unnecessary. They wouldn't do that in the US

As to the response that is very tricky. The US and SK have interest in maintaining the momentum due to the recent nuclear disarmament agreement. So the protests can't be too severe or they are liable to turtle up and wreck all that's been negotiated over the past few years.

it's hard to imagine the level of "brainwashedness" of NK soldiers. They literally believe SK people and Americans could evolve into monsters in a sec and eat them alive.
