Question Teutonic Order Units

Can someone explain for what the dismounted half brothers are usefull

helbeards and (no)shield they loose all battles
against dismounted knights, knights, elite spearman

so for what is this unit good for?

they have AP halberds, so use them as:
a. expensive fodder for archers and artillery
6. outflanking armor
=. leading a charge to occupy the enemy, then outflanking them with horsies

I agree with all said and would add, good to use against Light Infantry and excellent in a doorway of a Castle under Siege, holding up attackers, with Teuton Spearmen behind, by the time their thru the Halberds, they are exhausted and the Spearmen take besiegers to pieces

I don't think a hard charging unmounted unit is ever useless! There aren't that many great charging foot units so this is a nice little addition if you find yourself with an opportunity to use them in that role!

also halbrudders are available earlier than ritterbruders and fare better against infantry than order spearmen, so yeah, main heavy infantry force until ritterbruder

I made other experince,
they lost against knights, even when they charged the knights
they lost against armourd spearmen
and they lost against discmounted knights

In my experience order spearman are much better because they will win at least against cavalry.
