    Default Sub-mod compatibility

Okay, I知 looking at downloading Stainless Steel and several of its sub-mods, but I need to know which ones are cross-compatible with each other. The ones I知 currently interested in downloading are Byg痴 Grim Reality III, Real Recruitment, Crimson Tide, and the Text Overhaul Mod. Are all of these compatible with one another, and can you suggest any other sub-mods which might enhance the realism of the experience? Thanks ahead of time.

They are all compatible, just check the order in which you install them, which is probably stated in the first post of those mods' subforums.

    EDIT:

I think the correct order is:

Tick bgrIII & RR when you install ss6.1
Apply the update for BGRIII from the 1st post in it's forum

Goto Real Recruitment forum and install RR for SS6.1.zip

Download and install Text overhaul mod. Rename the two files as described in the readme in the download.

Download & Install Crimson Tide (it does not matter which order you install this mod in).

I go with SS 6.1 then 6.1 patch (doesn't matter what you tick) then RR for 6.1 (if you want it) then SSTC 6.1 v1.0 then SSTC v1.2 then, if you have BYG and RR, install the SSTC hotfix. After that install Crimson Tide, then you can install Y&Y's visual Improvement mod, then the faction leader head re-texture mod then the faction leader pix mod then the extra burning and brighter torches mod.

These are what I use, and I do not use BYG or RR and therefore I don't use the SSTC hotfix and my game runs lovely and looks so much better. The General in his pre-battle speech will talk about 'banners', which thanks to SSTC, there now are, and with the animations and new graphics of the above mods, the game looks so much better. The AI and 'behind the scenes' stuff is good enough in SS 6,1 that I don;t need any combat AI, either tactical or strategic.

So there you have it: How I like to play SS 6.1 and the submods that I use and know are compatible that make SS as good as it can be!
Search THEN ask on these forums!!!
