A SS 6.1 Lithuanian AAR, By Benz282

Ave all.

This is an AAR of my turtle campaign as the Lithuanians in Stainless Steel. It is played on the hardest difficulty settings (Including Real Recruitment and Grim Reality), starting in the Late Campaign, and with Crimson Tide (BLOOD!!!!) installed.

***Note***
The entire premise of this AAR is of a people trying to resist a religious genocide against them. None of this material is "targeting" any religion; rather, it is meant to highlight the simple flaws of humanity. (I felt it was necessary to say that to avoid any religious debates here)

Prelude....:

Lithuania....

...here is a peaceful place.

Here, all things move at a slower pace....where the people need not worry of troublesome neighbors, or the wrath of the Gods. Here, the people need only submit to the eternal wisdom of the Gods, and they shall not need worry of much.

Here is where the old Gods are kept, and where they have been kept for as long as anyone can remember. They are worshiped as they always have been, and they continue to influence the land as they always have.

And yet, a new threat looms on the horizon, which may very well destroy the sanctity of this place.

Behold, it is war that looms over this isolated sanctuary of the old things...:



From the West, a new faith comes to conquer the land and its religion. They seek not only the wealth of it's farms and markets and sacred woods, but also the favor of their deity.

They seek to cleanse the earth of the heathen stain.

But these people will not give in. They will take up arms against the invaders, and defend the last realm of the Old Gods. They shall meet this new threat head-on, each with a burning flame in their heart.



Here, the Old Gods make their final stand...

What their followers lack in numbers and skill, they more than make up for with bravery and ferocity.



...but despite their best efforts...
perhaps they will fail...
...perhaps all will be lost...
...and perhaps the Old Gods will finally fall...



...And what then? What will happen to the fields that once grew prosperously? What will happen to the people who so deeply love peace?

Perhaps the fields will be left in disrepair; un-kept and un-tended.

But perhaps the new faith will bring new era of peace...and perhaps the harvests will be more bountiful then the Old Gods ever delivered....

But if there is one thing that is certain in this dark time, it is that the people will not wait to find out...

It might be a while before this continues. Nobody attacks me . The Pope even called a crusade on the HRE instead of me !!!

Well, I'm sending a diplomat to Rome JUST for the purpose of pissing the Pope off (and here I thought I would have WAY too many enemies...here I have none).

I've even gifted a few hundred thousand Florins the the Order hoping they would use it to build massive armies and attack me. Instead, they start mobilizing against the Danes. I've even tried pissing them off like I plan to do to the Pope...still nothing.

What the ??

...in other news, my generals are about to die and I have no male heirs...3 Princesses though. Problem there is that there aren't any un-married men, and even if I find one, he will have to be Christian.

I'm also pretty addicted to Mount&Blade these days, so that causes a few complications as well
