Restricting artillery to 1 unit per stack
Is it possible to create a script to ensure that the AI only has one artillery/cannon unit in each stack (army)?

Nope. There are no controls to be used for merging stacks or loose units.

But you can define the priority for a piece by changing the EDU (think it was recruit_priority_offset) and on top of that limit the refresh rate for artillery in the EDB, both together should do the trick, unscripted...

My dear Furin, you have pre-empted my next question, which way does the offset_priority work, I've seen numbers as high as 40 and as low as -10. Interestingly EE serpentine is -10 and NE serpentine is 10 so I will freely admit a little confusion over here...

But the best way seems to limit the refresh rate really, because the AI simply won't be able to recruit any, if there aren't any...
