    Default Sarmatian Rebel Scum

If you ever say to yourself "What's the worst that could happen if I let this settlement rebel," these have to be at the top of the list:

I'm playing ExRM as Sarmatia. I let the two Indian provinces I took to wipe out Bactria rebel because of corruption and the fact that they had no mines. I think I'm going to have to pull my primary cavalry army over there at some point to deal with the situation. Fortunately, they haven't come into my territory yet; they're lurking on the border.

Yep, Saka (sp?) rebels are probably the nastiest to face in battle. Luckily, the AI doesn't really know how to use Horse Archers, so they won't be as effective as your own.

Do rebel armies ever siege cities? They never did in the original game as far as i saw, but i know they are better/different in rtr.

Having those guys try and seige you would probably be a good way to defeat them. Cavalry pathfinding goes to pot in cities.

Nice one! But not for you 16 missile attack is, well, a lot. Bring an army of local cheap slingers to deal with them. You should be able to defeat them in 1 or 2 battles.

    It's pretty funny, really.

I'll bring one of my full stack cavalry armies to deal with the problem eventually (Sarmatians cavalry, including horse archers with a base of 6, have above average armor). They haven't entered my territory, so I'm dealing with other matters, like land wars in Asia (Ptolemy, Seleucia, and Parthia). Ptolemy was becoming a monster and had 3 full stacks visible, each besieging a Galatian settlement. I couldn't let that into Sarmatian Greece, especially since the pressure from those sieges apparently made Galatia willing to become my protectorate.

If anyone can afford it, it might be worth a non-Sarmatian faction nosing around there with a diplomat. Buying 2 gold chevron merc horse archers for one's own use seems enticing.

They should ask for a huge some of gold.

Diplomat: "Hey guys we want to bribe you. How much would you like to be paid?"
Rebel captain: "Ummm... the sum would be some 500 talents of gold plus 100 virgin girls"
Diplomat: "What? Thats three times our treasury! And we have no virgin girls... They all are not virgin.. Why do you want so much?"
Rebel captain: "As you see we have golden chevrons and that's a class! So in order to keep up with our class we are supposed to make our arrow tips of gold! As we use tons of arrows so we need at least 500 talents. The real payment is girls..."
