Hey fellow generals, I have played this mod (riuna roma) for about a hour and a half, and man, it is awesome. I started a campaign as the western roman empire and I am getting attacked from all sides, in the open field all I have to do is make a solid line of shield walled legionaries and wait for the enemy to break himself on the invincible rock that is roman discipline. I have done two battles, a field battle against those darn Huns, where they totally were massacred, it was 1300 men VS 1300 and they only killed 94 of my men.....at first they didn't want to attack but I "motivated" them with my heavy onangers. in the siege battle I lost, those Sadissens were true do or dies winning, by hold my men back until the battle timer ran out. those catraphs must own the open field, because even when cornered they cut down my cheap Arabic mercenaries who had the not so good job of being the first to breach the hole in the wall. only one problem with my version of the mod....the Huns just don't look like the Huns their wasn't a single genuinely Hunnic guy in the entire host that I crushed today. and lastly what makes the other sub-mods different? thanks for your answers!

The IB mods are truly great.
You shoul also try out the other two submods.
Rio's depicts the roman empire reduced to only Italy.
What I liked about it was the big map and that most units are infantry.
IJ is the one I play right now and came to like the most.
It is a lot of micromanaging with the whole empire, but the timeframe really fits the gameplay.
There are enemies on all sides. And there are so many cool units.
Many people give up on the main campaign because it seems so complicated.
But give it a try, soon youll love managing religion percentages and public order in an empire that streches over half or the map.

Ah, good times. I remember when the Visigoths attacked me with a larger force. After setting up my line they stopped just out of arrow range and kept trying to maneuver around me or gain an advantage before assaulting me.

Course in the end they made a mistake and got into arrow range and their moral started to plummet.

I guess it's hardcoded and just not within the limit of rtw modding.

This has to be the only mod in which I excuse the use of Onagers on the battlefield. When playing as the ERE, they're usually the only thing holding back the sassanids...

yes.. but man roman infantry owns all! PS: I find the best way to destroy the huns is too start pumping out that 0 turn Gothic fedotry infantry......its the best infantry for the 0 turners.....unless, of course, you play RS
