Default strange CTD in IJ. No big deal

So I got rid of the CDT's from the dreaded quotes files and IJ runs now great.
Just once in a while I get a really strange CDT.
It's always just after the loading screen is finished, before a battle in
which I am atacked in the enemies turn.

I really have no theory on this. What would be different in defence battles?

could be a missing sprite. Does it happen with the same armies involved?

After reloading and fighting the same battle as the attacker, there is no CTD.
It only happens in defence. But most of defence battles crash.

hmm, that's weird. Maybe is something related to the terrain :hmmm:. Could you provide the coordinates of the battle (open the console and use the show_cursorstat "cheat") and maybe a screenshot that shows the position of the armies?

    Yup, here we go, beatoangelico.
x 136, y 86. That's just to the right of that fort (not where the cursor is on the picture).

Can't mace a screen of the armies, though.
I was already reinstalling the game when you posted.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Claagent11,

Glad you are enjoying IJ. This is CTD sounds really strange. Is it only at this location? And which faction are you fighting. You may need to check the unit composition of the opposing army. It may be a problem with one the the units. Again very strange.

It is really strange, because there's no trouble in battles whom I attack.

No, its not only that location. There also was a CTD against, I think, the Alamanni.
This one was at that rivercrossing on the screenshot against the Visigoths.
Both were against some of those factions starting armies.
I am playing as the Roman Empire in the IJ main campaign.

I don't know how to check on the unit composition.
    Could you tell me how?
Anyways, I reinstalled, and have not played a defensive battle yet.
But I suppose it's still the same.

Nice to see you too julianus heraclius.
Nevermind that PM, I sent you about playing IJ with the alx.exe.

I haven't forgotten, it's just that I have been busy with reskinning the romans. I will send you the files.

Thanks, but you don't have to bother anymore.
I bought an original copy of BI, now I don't have to play with the BI-1.6 crack anymore, which is crashy (and the reason I wanted to run the game with the alx.exe).
You're doing a great job skinning and modding, and thank you for that.

    As for that CDT.
I havn't had any after the reinstall.
But I havn't played a whole lot of defence battles.
It might have been a missing sprite.

    Edit: Another thing.
In the "Negative growth" thread somebody said that in IJ the balancing of growth rates is messed up.
I have not noticed myself. What do you think about that?
