    Default Help with buildings and priests

    I have two questions..

    #1 Is there a file that has entries to allow buildings to be destroyed
    eg. you can tear down a church but u cant destroy farms?? is that hard coded or no? not realy a big deal but i hate when u convert a city or castle and the farm building icon is before the wall or castle icon.

    #2 Priest...... I edited my game to have assisns only buildable through a guild. But I thought it would be a good idea that ur preist could denouce other factions priests that r of a different religion, like they can to a heretic.

    Yes, every building chain that starts with "hinterland_" cannot be destroyed.

    See Sigs answer. That file is export_descr_buildings.txt

    So modifying character's abilities in descr_character.txt doesn't work? I know for a fact that CA guys have looked at descr_character.txt, because they fixed a pretty major bug there when Kingdoms was released (and told no one that they fixed it). It used to be that giving to a captain different movement points from the general's would cause all kinds of ugly bugs in the campaign. Now it works as it should, and each character is independent of the other, and both are properly independent of the starting_action_points value.

    Abilities are still hardcoded to agent types I believe. I cant remember if the last time I tried was before or after the latest Kingsdoms patch.

    Would it be possible to make all religious agents "heretics" according to the game, except spreading a different religion depending on their faith? That way, you could simply convert anothers priest, or (as I assume the heretic has a chance to die or convert as well as a priest, i.e when a heretic tries to coerse your priest, he had the same sort of chances to suceed as your priest does of denouncing him) losing him to the other religion.

    I.e, Catholic Priest meets a Muslim Imam. Tries to convert him, but has a chance to be converted himself (or just plain fail).

    Or would that not work as if every religious agent were a heretic, you couldn't try and "turn" them as they'd already technically be heretical anyway.

    I dont think heretics can be recruited, or even spawned by script.

    thanks for the info for destroyable buildings.

    I hate having other religions priest standing in ur area and you cant stop em without an assasin. I guess its better to have a priest kicking around rather then assaisns taking out ur generals at will.

    But the desc_character just gives the ability to take away or return hardcoded abilities. cant add anything new.... kinda sucks

    so can u get rid of the hinterlands_farms to farms and beable to destroy the farms??

    i just took the hinterland part off and the campange wont start

    you have to remove it from more than the EDB. Its referenced in a few other files as well. export_buildings.txt and battle_buildings.txt I think.

    After you destroy farms, I don't think the farm texture goes away. Just fyi.
