Make America great again!
Well I just registered to vote this year. I dont think I have a strong political conviction yet, so I put marked myself as independent. Either way I don't feel the need to be identified/classified with any party, especially since when it comes to democrats and republicans none of the parties' core values fully satisfify me. I am just as likely to vote for anyone of any party as long I agree with their policies.

Where's the "I hate them all but attempt to vote for the lesser of the X number of evils" column??
Btw doesn't independent and unaffiliated mean the same thing ? Perhaps the OP should merge both.
There is an Independant party. Unaffiliated means not affiliated with any party, so the two terms are not equal.
I am registered as Republican, but lean heavily toward libertarian -- Too bad the Libertarian Party is so disfunctional that they cannot even get a candidate to run for each office and win a few times. Hope springs eternal that enough small "l" libertarians can pull the party away from big government programs and legislation that intrudes on individual rights. The Democrats are beyond hope in these goals, so I register Republican.
I will register Republican next year, but man, I'm sick of getting letters from MCcain right now. It could only get worse once you are registered.
This list is corrupted!
Why isn't the communist party on the list?![]()
I'm not old enough to vote yet, but I plan on joining an independant party that reflects my views or maybe creating my own at some point........![]()
You represent 80 percent of the Democrats voting base. Hence their showing in the last two elections.Well im not registered but, Democratic party baby!
I'm a registered independent but I vote Republican 9/10.
America is an Apple pie
with a few bad apples
right toward the top.
I have swron not to vote until I serve.

Unaffiliated, but I am voting for McCain since Obama is not in favor of tapping new oil resources in the Gulf and elsewhere and his tax break idea is to small and not good enough.

Registered Democrat, but I support the Socialist Party USA and I like the Green Party's ideals in terms of a decentralized social economy, small-government grassroots democracy, and environmentalism.
However, the Democrats are the best vehicle for at least moderate social-democracy and progressivism. Thought not democratic socialist, nor even fully social-democratic, the Democratic Party is the largest body of progressive politics in the United States, and represents the best chance we as progressives have at achieving success in our campaign for social justice.
I will be voting Obama this year; far better than that fascist McCain and his gang of neocon theocrats.
McCain is a farcry from being a fascist. Seems the extreme lefties and extreme enviro whackos usually start the name calling and mudslinging first.
If Obama is elected that is the way it will be, and I do not consider Obama an idiot nor any other type of nitwit etc. I simply don't agree with some major points of his campaign promises.

The only way to go is Unaffiliated. Cast down the corrupt party system and replace it with Clean-Money Independents.
Edit: Democrats are progressive? Man I must have just fallen off the moon. They are as progressive as a snail in reverse.
Yeah, there are good and honest politicians and people of all political parties that sincerely want to better and change the nation and shake things up in a progressive manner.
Chris
But not a party. Large parties want the status quo. Parties are all Umbrella ideas.
Maybe you are more correct overall in that regard. Chris
