Anyway, on to the topic: I think people tend to live by certain rules after a while, but that's not what I wanted to discuss. one of these rules is for example the second world war, something we're all supposed to think of as bad and evil, because we're raised to do so. another one of these rules is about racism. we can't discriminate. but some people, in their overly-political correctness, really go too far. example:
This happened at the school I go to a few months ago. there was this black girl sitting next to her white friend during maths class. coincidentally, she was wearing a black T-shirt, while her friend was wearing a white one. and here comes the teacher, with one of his always-witty remarks: "hey , what a coincidence, black and white!."
Now, of course this wasn't funny, as the guy just doesn't have any humour.
But this is the funny part: the black girl got angry at him, and her friend supported her. together they stormed out, calling the teacher racist! HE CALLED A BLACK GIRL BLACK! OMFG!
What's with these kind of situations people? imagine a stand-up comedian. the entire crowd is white, except for one guy. the comedian needs a volunteer for something, and he wants the black guy. If he'd say: "hey you, with the red T-shirt!", there wouldn't be a problem. the guy was indeed wearing a red T-shirt. but if he'd say: "hey you, the black guy!" he be RACIST! WHY?! on the other hand, if the entire crowd would be black, and there'd be one white guy, there wouldn't be a problem picking him with a "the white guy"
So. what do you think? any experience with this?
