Factions that really get on your nerves?

ok, so we have worst faction.....most liked faction...most glorious faction...etc, but i havn't seen this (if it's around please excuse my stupidity)

anywho, what faction(s) has been a thorn in your side the most in M2TW?
for me...venice, milan, sicily. all those italian powers are backstabbing fools, i swear.... every single campaign i've played with a european faction (scratch scotland, iberian factions) those countries have just been a huge pain to deal with....and end up being completly exterminated when i get my military forces nice and powerful

so....how about you gents?

I usually play England, so for me it's France, always get threatened with Excom. repeatedly as I wipe them off the map. If I don't go for them right away they always attack me when my backs turned -_- Otherwise I'd say any nation that uses mounted ranged troops in large numbers, since they're always annoying.

The Mongols because as soon as I build a powerful army and Im completely destroying western armies with my Turks, they show up and slowly take my cities and I have to postpone everything. Then I go into debt and all sorts. Blah, the Timurids too, infact, they're the worst. I mean, as soon as you finish the Mongols, the Timurids appear stronger and more powerful then anything you've seen before.

for me it was the HRE, who are the worst possible allies and betray you at the drop of a hat. They like to redeclare war within a trun of sueing for peace to.

If i'm not playing the byzantines, i'm either playing venice or the turks. so byzantine is rather annoying to fight. As well as the fatimid with any faction i play with. Moors never seem to die either

I have to say I agree that the Italians are always treachearous. In my Turkish campaign on VH/VH the Italians and the Mongolians have been the biggest pain. Luckily, the Mongolians never managed to settle down as I valiantly defended all my settlements until the Black Plague. After that, their armies got wiped out by the disease and my remaining forces.

In vanilla, as I liked playing as England, it really annoyed me how Portugal / Spain would often send full stacks to Caernavon of all places -_-. I could understand France, Denmark and even the HRE wanting to attack me, but Spain and Portugal wanting me dead over the moors just really annoyed me.

the best is when spain and the moors make a freakin alliance to wipe you out... i mean get real, spain and the moors forming an alliance? sheesh...

Egypt in all my game no matter what european faction I play as the ALWAYS land a full stack at Palermo(sp) and begin to conquer the world.

In vanilla, it works both ways. The English also send a part stack to Iberia (garbage, but a part stack). They are adjacent by the way the computer looks at the map.

The Italians, and the Muslims always seem to backstab each other. Twice when I played as Turkey, the Egyptians attacked me rather than expanding across Africa or going overseas.

Italian factions and Portugal. Denmark isn't much of a problem for me... I like Denmark a lot actually.

Milan they never stop attacking and train tons and tons of those annoying crossbow millita and those extremely annoying Italian spear millita. Venice is almost a mirror image if them. I hate how Denmark/Poland have remote settlements that are annoying to get to.

Agreed. Since I cannot control naval battles, the booping pirates, who somehow can afford to create and equip navies to rival full nations, beat me.

As I play as Denmark, the HRE is a royal pain. The are the colossus that bestrides the South, preventing me from expanding. Damn them!

timurids piss me off, they usualy take over everything if left alone with the npc and then start showing up with full stacks of elephants. their used to be a bug when they sieged u and they wouldnt attack into ur city so u would have to go outside ur walls and then get desimated by eles. i hope they fixed that glitch.
