    Hello!

    I didn't exactly know where to put this, so if this is the wrong place, please move it

    As mentioned in some other posts in other forums, i'm currently working on my own mod.

    No big deal, only text editing, but to show you, what this is all about, here a list of changes done and still to do:

    -The mod is based one RTW 1.5 (havent' tested with the other versions yet)

    -All factions start only with one region (except the rebels, who hold all the others).

    -Unified Rome, only one roman faction under the Julii banner, starting with Rome as it's settlement

    -Removed the phalanx formation, spearmen now no longer have swords, only spears to fight with, wich gives them a disadvantage against sword-armed infantry, but they are still lethal against horses (corrected the collision mass of men accordingly).

    -Very minor (but still noticeable) bonuses against elephants and chariots for spear-armed units.

    -All normal foot soldiers and cavalry now only have one hit point, Generals still have two, as chariots and elephants still have more than one.

    -All missile types have have the same range, e. g. all archers have the same range, all horse archers have the same range, all legion or legion-like units have the same range and all Peltasts, Velites, Illyrians bla bla have the same range

    -Greatly balanced the game by unifying attack, armour (one value for leather, one for light metal, like breastplates or light chain mail and one for heavy metal, like banded or plate mail armour (Cataphracts, Cappodocian Cavalry and Armoured Elephants have even higher values)) and defence skill measurements for all units, according to their value, kind of soldier, settlement level of recruitment and so on (e. g. one value for lower, one for standard, one for elite and one for uber units), for example: all "normal" archers do the same damage, as do all "elite" archers (Chosen Archer Warband, and Archer Auxilia), Foresters and Pharaoh's bowmen do more damage, as they will be considered some of the uber units in the mod.

    -Made experience and armour/ weapon upgrades A LOT more valuable: I decreased the attack, armour and defense skill measurements for all units according to the above mentioned point. Of course, there's still a world of a difference between a Militia Hoplite and a Spartan Hoplite (wich already is an uber unit), if both have 0 exp/ ar/ wp, but a Militia Hoplite with 9 exp/ 3 ar/ 3 wp will now be able beat a fresh unit of Spartans to a bloody pulp with ease.

    -Created AoR's for all elite and uber units: E. g. Later Legionairy Cohorts are only recruitable in Italy (the 3 provinces in northern Italy also count, as does all of Sicily of course) Pharaoh's Bowmen and Pharaoh's Guards are only recruitable along the Nile river (modern day Egypt) and so on.

    -Using Mundus Magnus v3 as campaign map (as soon, as i have recieved permission, if not, i've made the same changes for the vanilla map).

    -Balanced economy and unit training /upkeep costs according to above mentioned changes.

    There are a lot of other very minor changes done and still to do (Like Foundries requiring iron as a resource to be built (though i dunno, if this is possible, haven't tried it yet).

    So... what say you? Is this something i should continue to work on? Or does this all sound completely thumbs down to you?
