is it real, or is it hoax?
could it be real in the span of human evolution?
your thoughts?

hope so it would cut travel time in half
so how would it work
besides midichlorians?
there really isnt any logical way that it could work unless there is some unknown energetic force-- that we have yet to discover
ive heard the idea put forward that our consciousness resides not in some specific part of our brain, but in the interchange between our physical brain and the magnetic field produced by it.
If this were the case, then it could explain (tho not telekinesis), telepathy, like picking up on someone else's thoughts, or auras, etc.
Well, the only way I can think of is by manipulating the electricity in our body to create magnetic fields, but the intensity of the current required would fry you anyway. And I don't see it coming through evolution. In the course of evolution no species ever developed telekinesis as a way to increase its chances to survive.

Natural telekinesis is not plausible, ever. Of course, you could always hook up electrodes to your brain and use them to control nanorobots or magnetic fields or something, at some point, but that's not really the same.
Why is natural telekinesis not plausible? We have learned much but not close of all about the brain and its development and its possibilities. Nor do we understand electricity and other energy transfers as well as we like to imagine.
Because there's no plausible mechanism for it. There's no known force that could possibly account for the observed effects. Briefly:There's no known way for any phenomenon other than simple gravitational attraction to move ordinary objects around without hitting them with matter. The human mind has no known capabilities, despite extensive if not desperate research by paranormal researchers, other than the ability to control the fleshy body it lives in by electrochemical impulses. Its ability to break the known laws of physics in this way is implausible.
- The gravitational force can only be manipulated to the extent needed by the creation or destruction of extremely large amounts of energy. These amounts would have to be far greater than any known natural process below planetary scale can manipulate. To come up with the needed energy, our bodies would need to use some advanced power production technique like fusion or antimatter, but we can only use chemical energy.
- The strong and weak nuclear forces are extremely short-range and can't be used to manipulate far-away objects.
- Electromagnetic forces have no appreciable effect on objects with no net charge.
We haven't learned everything about the brain, no. We also haven't learned everything about chimpanzees, but that does not prevent us from saying that it's implausible that they're secretly a race of technologically-advanced aliens who are only waiting for April 7, 2031, when their mothership will return with reinforcements, to take over the world and make us their slaves so that we can prepare enormous quantities of tapioca pudding for them for all eternity. As for electricity, we've understood that quite excellently for more than a century; there are few unexplained effects in the field (high-temperature superconductors come to mind).
All this says is that it's implausible, not that it's impossible. Science can always be wrong. It's not like it's mathematics or anything. But don't bet on it.

Optical Tweezers
Dielectrophoresis
Of course if someone were creating massive EM fields with their brains we could measure it, so it's kind of irrelevant, and these techniques are generally used to manipulate things that are about a micron in size.
I justify the mention because the first example involves lasers, and lasers are awesome.

Even if the human mind could exert a force on a body Newton's third law tells us that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This means that if you tried to move things your brain would pop out of your ears![]()

Nothing says that it has to be your brain directly exerting the force. It just has to cause the force to be exerted to qualify as telekinesis. The reaction force could be applied against, say, the ground.
What about teleporting? What controls the atomical structure of your body? Is your brain able to move your atoms somewhere and reconstruct them?
...I tried, it didn't work.....yet.
Blut und Boden
without any known other dimensions, magic energies, ect. the only plausible way for teleportation to take place would be to act like the signals in your TV (like in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when it happened to the cowboy kid) where you get broken down into tiny particles and sent at high speeds somewhere else. This however is unlikly as even if we had the technology to do this to humans it is doubtful we would be able to develop a way to survive the process.

I dont understand how it would be possible scientifically, how can someone move an object without touching it. Some kind of force needs to be applied on the object, i dont see your brain manipulating air and i'm sure "the force" doesn't exist.
