    Default Problems with scripts, installation...

After I installed the mod I defeated two Helvetian stacks, but after I tried to run the scripts after loading savegame, the mod kept crashing.
I reinstalled the mod, but since then I get message about illegal instruction encountered by NTVDM CPU.
Does anyone know what might be the problem with my installation?
    Thank you.

Greetings, and thanks for trying our mod.

The problem with loading the game during the Helvetii campaign has been reported by some users but, unfortunately, I have not found a solution yet. It was a very complex script (in fact, I needed DaVinci's help to finish it) and there must be something wrong, but I cannot locate it. The difficulty is even greater due to the fact that it appears to happen randomly, meaning that I have not been able to duplicate it.

The problem concerning the illegal instruction is unknown to me, sorry. Please check that your 58BC folder is placed in the same directory as BI and that the shortcut is correct too.

    Hope this helps.

in other words, try to defeat the helvetii within the same savegame.
Do not load savegames while still fighting. it's not a long mission (4 battles should do it)

    regards

I thought about that, but after I (successfully) reinstalled the mod, the game crashes immediately after running the script in the beginning.

I guess it's a RTW engine bug, a save and reload bug, and the probability of a save-bug or even the bugged reload/recreation of the actual saved game is increased, if the reload/recreation needs a show_me script activation, and the heavier a complex script (and related files, ie. character names and traits/ancs) is designed, the higher is the probability of such a save/reload bug, imo..

In every case i would avoid to reload an autosave game, always reload a named save, and the first you have to do is to activate the script if reloaded.

Perhaps a lot players don't know, that RTW has indeed an autosave-bug (? ... and the quicksave is as well bugged).

But i also guess that half of those ctd reports aren't due to our modding as the 58bc game worked without real issues in the betatesting, at least i could play through the Gallic Wars completely without a ctd, and well, i personally never had the time to playtest further, after i provided the last Gallic mission.
