Do you fear it? why? In the words of the same person from whom i got the title for this thread:

Yes, you do fear the after-death
No, you are confident there is somehting good after death
You are indifferent to things that are out of your control

A new mobile phone tower went up in a town in the USA, and the local newspaper asked a number of people what they thought of it. Some said they noticed their cellphone reception was better. Some said they noticed the tower was affecting their health.
A local administrator was asked to comment. He nodded sagely, and said simply: "Wow. And think about how much more pronounced these effects will be once the tower is actually operational."
I do, in fact. I believe that after death, one simply ceases to exist (no afterlife, neither good nor bad), and I have to admit that I'm not exactly looking forward to that...

I am not in the least bit scared of death, yet have no belief in an afterlife. The process of dying won't be comfortable, not looking forward to that, but what happens after doesn't concern me at all even though I am an atheist. Primarily because if there is nothing then you will lack the ability to worry about it
I personally think there is nothing after death. If there turns out to be something that's a bonus or a devaluation of your life depending on what way you look at it. I like the idea of nothing after your life resulting in your life having more value. The fact that it is finite makes it all the more beautiful.

Oh, damnit, you confused me.
I don't fear the afterlife because, well, it doesn't exist.
I do fear death. Doesn't everyone?
for some reason, i do fear death, but not because of an after-life, but because i for some reason believe in rebirth...which is weird for an atheist.
im afraid that when i die, my life wont be as good as it is now

40 in a few months and I think, blimey, I'm probably over halfway there to the end of the line. I have no belief in an afterlife but maybe I'll start developing one nearer the time. It's got to help to imagine that your going somewhere nice rather than rotting away amongst the worms.

I fear death as much as I feared the first time I was forced on a roller coaster or the first time I braved pitch black dark as a youngster. I think everyone fears it.
I am however, prepared to face it one day.

dont believe in an afterlife; I have a natural aversion to the death of my body; but Im not particularly worried about death either---I have already become nothing, so death is meaningless*(tm chaigs pantheistic deathcult)
Death is a natural occurrence. It may not be desirable, but it is necessary. Whether there is an afterlife or not, an eternally living human would eventually become either overwhelmed by the sad things in their lives (everyone has sad events in their lives, and at some point an immortal human would simply acquire too many) or become so bored with life that they decided that it would be better to end their lives. I do not look forward to death, but I accept it as an inescapable fact.
Humans fear the unknown, it is a natural instinct for survival. Religion's can brainwash people to think they know what happens e.g. Suicide Bombers and how they will go to heaven. I don't believe in any religion, therefore i don't know what happens after death, doe's something happen or do we cease to exist? So yes i do fear death just like i fear the dark(yes i fear the dark unlike others i don't try to convince myself there is nothing there, but generally i just have to much to think about to worry about what is in the dark)
Don't take life too seriously no one gets out alive anyway.
Fear death? It depends of my mood. Normally it<s not a deep fear. What fear most how will I die.
I believe that to meet the challenges of our times, human beings will have to develop a greater sense of universal responsibility. Each of us must learn to work not just for oneself, one's own family or nation, but for the benefit of all humankind. Universal responsibility is the key to human survival. It is the best foundation for world peace.
I know there is an afterlife, yet I still fear it for I feel I have so much more to do on this Earth.
