    Default Battle Scripting

Hi guys, long time reader 1st time poster...

Anyways I'm working on a machinima of the Battle of Bannockburn using the MTW2 engine and I'm wanting to know if you can code/script battles rather than just playing a custom battle to record? Playing it out is OK but if I could code in the instructions it would make things a lot more accurate. I've coded for mods using Dawn of War and AVP2 previously in a similar way so I've no problem 'learning the language' so to speak.
    any help is appreciated, cheers.

There are commands that work in battles, but I havent used many of them. Your best bet is to look through the docudemons for commands you can use, and decide which of them you like. This way you know what you can and cant do before you start.

Does anyone know if it's possible though, to have an all AI battle with pre-determined actions? Much like a scripted cinematic sequence.

I think it's possible. Take a look at some of the vanilla battles.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."
