Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all..."we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA

Lol, I'm gonna assume most people will be the same as yours, as in full chivalry. Find it a tad easier to get chivalry over dread (with crusades), especially early in the game when occupying is better then exterminating (imo).
On a side note, couldn't the rulers of the Iberian peninsula be a little more original with their names? I mean Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso.....
haha, but guess what....he used to have dread up to the top, he would exterminate and execute everyone and then he decided to become a saint and released all the prisoners (he got chivalry not only through crusade). I find that it is fun to release if your getting bored. just battle a huge army and then release so you can have another huge battle very soon instead of waiting for the AI to recruit more men.(it's good for practicing big battles too)
Oh and now my reputation is really good, does rep go up if you release?
i reckon, i've got 6 el cids at the moment. jeezz not only is that wierd but "cid" means lord in arabic!!! now all my generals are speaking arabic or what!On a side note, couldn't the rulers of the Iberian peninsula be a little more original with their names? I mean Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso, Alfonso....
oh wow i hadn't seen that trait, thanksCool guy, that Alfonso. Almost an all-maxed fella, just don't let the 'Gets Merry' trait develop into something more... serious
me too, but i liked a changeYou know, chivalry is great and all but I like my generals to be feared

I prefer to be chivalrous and trust worthy, but when the going gets tough you've just..gotta kill prisoners really. In the wars against Turkey and Egypt I've gone from mixed to untrustworthy, brilliant![]()
in my current game i dont think i have any chivalrous generals, if you asked for dreaded generals though then i could show you some good ones![]()
Soylent Green is people!!!
^ My whole faction is the Evil Empire. My last 3 kings have maxed out dread and have all sorts of other screwed up evil traits. His young sons all start out slightly insane and dreaded and it builds up and up.
I do have ONE general with 8 chivalry though. I think its hilarious because his entire country is full of murderous bastards but with this general I always release troops. And ONLY with this general. The enemy must find it so unexpected.
He was just captured in a field battle though. And they EXECUTED him. Poor bastards should have let him go - his successor is my king's bastard son who is utterly insane and loves to bathe in blood.

'If I am unrighteous, why does God not stop me?'
I kill all prisoners, no exceptions. ever. but i do like chivalry better for governors because of the pop growth which i havent seen from dread.
