    Default Some queries...

I love this mod, but I have just 2 questions about some of the aspects. Firstly, What is the time measurement? With the AB thing?

Secondly, Why is Sparta not in control of the Greek city states at the start of the game?
    :hmmm:
    Thanks,

    1) It stands for the number of years since the founding of Rome
    2) Why would Sparta be?

Ab urbe condita, it means since the founding of Rome. RS uses this measurement of time to avoid an automatic CTD that occurs at a certain point due to the lack of senate.

Dont understand your second question, sparta isnt in the latest version

    EDIT: too slow

Either way my answer stands: Why would it be? It makes more sense to have it as part of the free people faction, which is where it is.

That's fair enough, but why are there Rhodes, Athens and Argos in the Greek city states, surely they should be independent and free? :hmmm:

Good question, however, I presume it may have been done to give the Greek City States a fighting chance. The Greek mainland already has Epirus and Macedon to rival the Greek City States.

Rhodes is a huge economic bonus (due to the 25% bonus to sea borne trade the wonder gives).

I know Syracuse only starts with two settlements and Pergamum only one.

There is also a limit to the number of factions that can be used withing the game. It's a hard-coded limit from the RTW engine.

Anyway, RS1.5 is not really supposed to be historically accurate (I think) where RS2 will be.

Yeah, we've learnt a fair bit of history in the last year!
