So, can anyone tell me if this movie was good or bad or any recommendations?

    Much obliged.

I can only say what I read and heard. Will Smith is his normal, excellent self. But that the movie dabbled too much and didn't expand upon itself by the end. Which might be because the script was knocked around for over 10 years...

    The previews looked pretty good.

Reviews have been somewhat disappointing so far, but I'll probably rent it anyway.

from what I've read, the actors do fine, but the script and plot dont do any them any justice.

    sounds like a rental.

    It was mighty fine!

Saw it last night - it was priceless, has some good humour and even has a deal of coolness factor for a super hero and his origins.

Looks good, I'd probably go to the movies to see it. As usual Will Smith plays Will Smith and that's always appealing.

It's been pushed by Best Buy for so long the only thing to have looked forward to was a trip to LA for free and a free movie, really wouldn't pay to see it.

I was pretty disappointed by it, mainly because the trailer made me expect a different movie than it actually is. I thought it would be much more comedic in nature (the basic premise is just brillant), but in the end it tried so hard being dramatic... and failed.

It still amazes me after all these years how Charlize Theron's accent is absolutely flawless, even though English isn't even her mother tongue.

That amazes you? Really? Did "american" suddenly become a difficult language?

You see, I can speak English with a minimum degree of fluency, yet no anglophone would mistake me for a native speaker.

For example, in an English language film, one can easily identify Jean Reno as French as soon as he starts talking - as a non-native speaker he's got a distinct accent.
