Default Raising units, how to do it?

Hi, i'm at turn 50 with the hre, i've no access to all the best units (feudals, two haded swordsmen, arty etc.) they still remain all shaded.
    any suggestion?
(i've no problems with mercenary ones)

    A few questions.
Are you in a Early or Late Era campaign?
    Are you using RR?
    Are you using BGR III?
Did you install the BGR III fix if you are using BGR III?

    Reasons behind the questions.
If it is a Early Era game and you're using RR, you wont get better units until into the 1200s
If you're using BGR III your faction zeal effects your recruitment abilities and you need certain religious requisites to build units, as well as certain generals (War Council members).
Also, if you're using BGR III and didnt install the fix, you're screwed.

If you are not playing with the 6.1 patch and not with BGR & RR, what I doubt, do you already have the buildings which makes it able to recruit them?

In the vanilla/original game it depended on the "walls" of the town or the grate of the castle. In SS you have to build the reruitment buildings to get them. Can you see those units but are not able to recruit them, or are you not seeing them at all??

If you installed BGR III with the 6.1 patch and did not install the BGR III update in the BGR thread, you will never be able to get good units.

If you installed BGR III and the BGR III update, make sure you have a war council member in the city or castle you wish to get the good units in.

I currently have the same issue which I also post in another post. So basically I have installed patch 6.1 with RR and BGRIII. Then I copy the zipped files from http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=106060 to data folders in MTW2.

they insisted that it is saved games compatible but it seems not working for me.

all dismounted feudal knighted are grayed out which says I have to wait 9 turns. Even I press next turns, it is still 9 turns (save games). I guess if you see the same issue, your update may have not fixed the problem.
for a new campaign, when I move my prince and king to castle, I see that the number of turns that I have to wait to recruit dismounted feudal knight does decrease. So it seems that the issue is fixed for new campaign only.

I am too retard, and need to find a way to make this recruitment work faster.

i've tried the same with no results, even if i try to restart a campaign.
now i've reinstalled pastc ss6.1 without the real recruitmen, but it's not that good 'cos now i've some units before the historical apparence.
i'ved prefefer the RR worked right.

The issue where units are greyed out and not counting down is nothing to do with RR, it is from BGR III.
