    Default No Sprites

I'm not sure how many people know this but if you want to get rid of sprites or increase the distance at which sprites appear:

Go to Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data\unit_models\battle_models.modeldb with notepad.

Use find and replace (ctrl + H) to replace ".mesh 10000" and ".mesh 6400" with ".mesh 800000" or some other high value.

800000 is the distance at which sprites will begin to appear.

I find 80000 gives a good balance between performance and looks.

    I knew that

Actually I don't mind the sprites all that much.

I have a geforce7950 gt, 2gbram, AMD4200+ 2.2ghz and I'm afraid I will get to much lag if they are completely turned off.
