Galadhrim weren't most similiar to dark elves because in Lothlórien lived more sindar and noldor (many sindar and noldor managed to escape to Lothlórien when Eregion was destroyed) who came to Lothlórien with Celeborn and Galadriel. Because of those sindar and noldor, Galadriel and Celeborn and Nenya galadhrim had more knowledge and strength than elves of Mirkwood. Galadriel had also gained lots of knowledge from Melian when she lived in Doriath during First Age and passed that knowledge to galadhrim.

Elves of Mirkwood were also ruled by sindar but there were no noldor in Mirkwood. First nandor came from Lothlórien to Mirkwood (this happened when Amroth or his father Amdír was still ruling Lothlórien) and later some sindar came there too and Oropher who was father of Thranduil started ruling elves of Mirkwood (during that time elves of Mirkwood mainly lived on hill of Amon Lanc where later was builded Dol Guldur).

I don't know why you think that dark elves had some magical knowledge that other elves would have forgot. If it's said in some Middle Earth book which isn't written by Christopher or J.R.R. Tolkien it's not something you should trust. And if elves had some magical knowledge I don't see why other elves would have forgot them.

The only "magical" knowladge they could have had and forgotten was about nature? Yet I doubt it would make them anyway stronger then High Elves. Also Sindar from Doriath should have more of the knowladge cause of Melian. I think that even Mirkwood thanks to Sindar(fully explained by Varjon ) had more knowladge then Dark Elves.

Yes and at some point elves of Mirkwood and Lothlórien were equal when elves of Mirkwood lived very close to Lothlórien in southern parts of Mirkwood around hill of Amon Lanc. They all were nandor without rulers and they went over sea from elven haven of Edhellond which was north from Dol Amroth.

How was the ruler of Elves of Lorien at the Last alliance called?
To bad we know a so small amount about Nandor and Avari, and also about the other Dwarven clans.

If I remember right leader of nandor of Lothlórien was Amdír who was father of Amroth and leader of nandor of Mirkwood was Oropher who was father of Thranduil. Both of these elves died in Battle of Last Alliance and lost very large amount of their men because nandor were ligthly equipped and they didn't fight under command of Gil-Galad like other elves did.

Yes, personally I'm very interested about all eastern elves and dwarves because there is so little real knowledge about them. Only thing we know about other dwarven clans who lived in east is only their names and about avari we know only that they lived separatedly in woods and names of their languanges.

If I recall right there are two versions of who is Amroth, of which none was chosen yet. One was that he is the brother of Celebrian and another that he is, as you said, the son of Amdir. It was in Unfinished Tales I think.

Yes, if I remember right that was speculation of Christopher but he didn't say which one is right in his opinion.

In that version Galadriel and Celeborn ruled some time Lothlórien but they went somewhere else and left Amroth to rule Lothlórien. But by myself I prefer that another version because there is no other mention in family trees or anywhere that Amroth would have been son of Galadriel and Celeborn.

The better thing about the version when he is son of Celeborn is that it makes it less unusual for Elves of Lorien to chose a Noldor and a Sindar for leaders. Considering that when they were chosen there weren't many of those in Lorien.
Hmm was it mentioned how did Oropher die?

Well Dark Elves can't realy be a proper faction. Mostly cause of the lack of armored troops, close-combat troops and cavalery. Same goes for Nandor.

I believe that Amdír was also sindar so that would fit then. Oropher died quite early because he and his forces attacked in frontline and were lightly equipped. I believe it's same story with Amdír.

Man of Dor-lómin were best with axes.(at first age of course) Look at Hurin, he made Gothmog need to find new bodyguards.
