patching problem

i'm bought the medieval2 total war in dvd and installed it..done! and i've downloaded the 1.2 patch and cannot install it..it seems like it doesnt find the medieval2 total war in my pc...do i need to reinstall the game?what else should i do?

Sounds like you installed Medieval 2 to the non-default destination. When trying to install the patch, does it ask where you installed the game to?

i've installed in default destination too..but when i run the installer ,it still can't find my m2tw directory..

FYI ,the installer is automatically installed to C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\RarSFX0..

but i think it should being installed to our game directory right.?.do u think my installer is corrupted ?

Are you using Vista? Did you move it after you installed it?

noo..i'm using windows xp..i did moved the copy of the game..but the original game still in default destination...

do u think that the installer is corrupted or do i need to install from m2tw in cd rather than m2tw in dvd?
