    Default Taking ROME

I looked in the threads but Couldn't find anything on this.

Is it wise to take over ROME when playing as the romans? Lol. I feel like the city is just sitting there not doing anything except losing money.

It may shown that it is losing money but this is just because the city is so huge that it pays alot of your unit upkeep so it shows negative. Technically taking any city is a boost to your economy. It can be argued that it could be a detriment because you have to build improvments but a city like Rome has most of those already. If you get to a point where you are able to take Rome I would. And it gets rid of those annoting senate missions.

Rome is a heart of Roman Empire! How can the body of your Empire be powerful, wealthy and healthy if the heart doesn't belong to you? Take ROME unambiguously!

Taking Rome opens up a way to imperial legions, and to unlimited world domination. Oh and free doughnuts too.

The reason i conquer Rome is because of the satisfaction i get when i destroy those nasty Senate armies

and of coarse who wouldn't want to control Rome

    What civil War?

And around what date does the reform take place?

Reform happens when you build an Italian Imperial Palace. But you do not need the Reform in order to wage Civil war.

And to wage Civil War, you must deny the Senate when they request to kill your faction leader.

Wow, I MUST be the last of the 2007 Veterans...Am I the only one who actually owns Rome?

I think they will siege some cities, but they will lift it the next turn and just stand in your territory or go back to Rome.

PS. Their Praetorians are actually easier than you think to beat.

That is because my takin of Rome is far far away, with my head up in the clouds. No really, school over, so now its playing time, after I do all housework. SO I might revive some threads, make videos, post screens!
