    Default Tips for Bio-warfare

In this thread I will be disscusing the basics to use biological warfare against your enimies.

Like you, I hate when a plauge starts up in my cities, but, that doesnt mean you have to look at it like it is the worst thing ever. It is a great way to spread disease all around the world or just into places you dont like. All you will need is about 5 spies and a few targets (by targets i mean other kingdome or nations). You should quickly hire five spies and send them to the plauged city (your plauged city). after they are all in the city, take them out and send them into your disired targets. I suggest 2 spies per target, just because if the spie doent reach his target, its a waste. The best place to send your diseased spies are to your enimies capitals, because it is usually the most important city for the AI and most characters stop there with their armies (and pass it on to other cities/castles). If you still have the spies that are infected, send them into other cities. The best thing about this tactic is the fact that you dont need to be at war with the faction you are infecting. Just make sure that you dont let your infected spies back into your cities while they are still infected. Another thing you have to look out for is a spie that was hired by the city you infected, if he gets into you city, you will have a plauge on your hands as well.

Hpoe this helps anyone out there

P.S. I know this is a dirty way of playing the game but it can help you win it

Believe me using the plague like a weapon aint a new thing anymore, besides its effects are rather average in m2tw.

Back in R:TW this was a handy way of softening up the Eygptians before taking them on. It isn't anything new, but it is a lot less powerful than it was it R. Good to bring it back up anyway.

When the plague hits a city all trade income ceases and the reduced population makes control of the target city easier. Just don't get stupid as I have been and accidentally move a spy who has the plague through one of your own cities. Be very careful in moving them and save the game often. (It is permitted to reload as often as you like if you are a sexagenarian.)

I wonder what would happen if the enemy city still had your spy in and you forgot, and invaded it. Would you army get the plauge, still all trade ceased etc?

    Just wondering

    Cheers

if you like plagues your gonna love the black death
    great fun
almost all campaigns come to a stop for a few turns
imagine how depressing it is when 20000 people and 5 family members die in one turn

If the city is cured then everyone in there at the time gets cured; so if you sent a spy in to infect the city when that city is cured the spy should be also. You can besiege a city and wait until the plague clears to capture it. Besieging or fighting an opponent who has the plague in a field battle won't get you the plague - at least I haven't ever gotten it that way. Nor does assassinating a target character in the city give it to the assassin. Nor does spying on a field army with an infected general give it to the general, I believe.

One might, if sufficiently wicked, consider infecting a rebelliously inclined city to reduce the population - which is especially liable to grow rapidly after a good sacking. Cairo would be a good candidate for this, if you are a western or Orthodox faction and were foolish enough not to exterminate the population. But if you have a level 10 dread leader in Cairo they usually behave, but you have to leave him there - which is a waste of talent.
