Can't lower resolution.

Well I currently bought this game and I can't lower my resolution below 1024x764.
So what gives?!?!

IT IS NOT HARDCODED. You just open the file Medieval2.preference.cfg in the Medieval II: Total War Root folder.. Then you look at the following line:

battle_resolution = X Y

Replace X and Y with your resolutions.

For the campaign look here:

campaign_resolution = X Y

Change X and Y in the values you want.

Yeah, I know about that already.
It won't work.
Whenever you restart the game the resolution changes back to default.
