RS: Help me get back on it, again...

Hello,

I would like to make it short so:
I downloaded RS 4 months ago and it worked, since then I threw it of and reinstalled the normal Rome to play online. Well, online doesnt work for me and so I want RS back. But I have NO idea how to do it.
If I try to download it at: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=65725 and I want to put it in C

rogram Files: TCA: Rome Total War it says that I cant do that because I dont have the right for that.
I use Vista btw.
So what should I do?

You have to use the Administrator account for things like that.

I also have vista and my pc always ask me if I give myself permission to do it:hmmm: if you accept then there should be no problem..

Yeh basicly you need to be the system administrator on your computer to install things.

Well, I tricked the administator and downloaded RS. But I started it up and I still get the original RTW. But I remind that after downloading RS you should get options like 0 or 1-turn recruitment. Anyone got an idea what is wrong?

I presume you did install it? You need ot have a read of one of the many topics on using Vista with mods - use the search facility. I seem to recall you need to switch off UAC (User Access Control).

When you install things with Vista they don't end up where you think they should (based on Windows XP experience).

You may also want to right click on the RS icon and have it in compatibility mode for windows xp.
