Please forgive me if this question has already been posed but how does one mod Kingdoms (esp. Americas) so that units are recruited only from buildings and not from walls? Thanks for any input you may have.

That will require changes in the EDB (export_descr_buildings.txt). You could simply move the recruiting section to a barracks building.
