    Default Copyrights

    hi everyone!
my question is: if i use textures from a level editor of a game i have, it's like copyright stealing? because it's an editor and basically I create the things in it so i can use them, but what about the textures???

I used to know all of this stuff but it has been so long since I left the modding world.

Most likely yes, it would be a problem.

It would be copyright infringment but it depends entirely on what you plan to do with it. Doubt they are really going to care if its not for economical gain.
Have you looked at the tos of the level editor? It would give you a much better idea about limitations.

Yes, this is going to be copyright infringement, as a general rule. The only exception is if the company specifically permits it, or if you're using the textures for satire or journalism or something else that would fall under fair use and require you to use the exact same textures.
