Also, it says that you can set the speed of battles to less than real time, ie half time, so you can watch fights in slow-mo etc, but I cannot do this, the slowest I can go is pause, naturally, and next slowest is normal speed, any ideas,

That hasn't been possible in any of the tw games. the option doesn't exist.

I figured it out but it only works in kingdoms... You hold down shift whilst you click on the + or - buttons to alter game speed. It changes by 0.1 instead of 1... I spent quite a bit of time watching foot knights slice each other to pieces at 1/10th speed (0.1 on the speed control). It is funny, and you can see everything really well. Everyone with kingdoms try it, it's a great function...
